VOIS and Kyrgyzpatent signed an agreement concerning performers’ rights

VOIS has concluded a bilateral agreement concerning the rights of performers with the State Service of Intellectual Property and Innovation under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic (Kyrgyzpatent). According to the agreement performers of both countries will be protected equally within the contracting territories.

Cooperation of VOIS and the Kyrgyz colleagues will provide strengthening the rights of performers of both countries accordingly.

The current system of intellectual property protection in Kyrgyzstan is over 20 years. Today, Kyrgyzpatent is the sole executive authority, which conducts a unified state policy in the field of intellectual property protection and innovative development. It provides legal protection mostly in all areas of intellectual property and creates mechanisms of encouraging innovative activity in the Republic jointly with the interested parties.
