Vladimir Ovchinnikov took part in an international project dedicated to the 180th anniversary of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky

Pianist, Honored Artist of Russia, Vice-President of the Council of Russian Organization for Intellectual Property (VOIS), Vladimir Ovchinnikov, took part in the unique online concert “Tchaikovsky. Online” dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the great composer.

The hosts of the international project were the Astana Opera Theater together with the Federal Agency for CIS Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo) Representative Office in Kazakhstan, Russian Performing Arts Foundation with the support of Russian Embassy in Kazakhstan.

The concert included works by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky performed by famous Kazakh and Russian musicians.

Among them were Honored Artists of Kazakhstan, opera singer Azamat Zheltirguzov; Chief Concertmaster of the Astana Opera, pianist Elena Sakhno; Honored Artist of Russia, pianist, Professor Vladimir Ovchinnikov; Honored Artist of Russia, Professor, President of the State Music and Pedagogical Institute named after Ippolitov-Ivanov Valery Vorona; violinist, conductor, twice Grammy Award winner Maxim Vengerov; Honored Artist of Russia, cellist Boris Andrianov.

In particular, the participants presented to the public the romances “I opened the window”, “That was in the early spring”, “I bless you, forests”, “The meek stars shone”, as well as bright instrumental works by Tchaikovsky.
