The Federation of Creative Industries is founded in Russia

On February 24, the first meeting of the founders of the new organization, the Federation of Creative Industries, took place.

The Federation was created with the participation of the Committee of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs on Intellectual Property and Creative Industries.

The federation includes more than twenty professional organizations, creative unions and creative business companies, including the Roskulttsentr (Russian Culture Center), the Moscow Art Theater named after Maxim Gorky, Institute of National Projects, Association of Film and Television Producers, Russian Animated Film Association, and IPChain Association.

The federation plans to create an online information portal for creative entrepreneurs and organize a call center to offer advice on their activities.

Alexander Auzan, Board Member of the Federation of Creative Industries, the founder of the Institute of National Projects, noted that around the world, creative industries produce an average of 6.6% of GDP, and in developed countries – from 10% to 12%. According to him, in Russia this figure does not even reach 2% of GDP.
