VOIS took part in Subregional seminar “Protection of Copyright, Related Rights and Collective Management” in Tbilisi

Subregional seminar “Protection of Copyright, Related Rights and Collective Management” organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) was held in Tbilisi (Georgia) on December 4 and 5, 2012. VOIS was represented by Mr. Erik Valdes-Martines, Deputy Director.
The seminar brought together representatives of international organizations and experts of collective management societies from different countries. Among the speakers were Mrs. Saule Tlevlessova – Program Officer of the Division for Certain Countries in Europe and Asia (WIPO), Mr. Mitko Chatalbashev – Director of European Affairs (CISAC), Ingrid de Ribaucourt – Senior Legal Advisor (IFRRO), specialists from Georgia, Poland, France, Ireland and Russia.
Mr. Erik Valdes-Martines, Deputy Director of VOIS, presented a report “Copyright and Collective Management of Rights in Russia – Present Challenges and Practical Issues”.
