VOIS took part in SCAPR meetings in Stockholm

On 16-19 September, 2013 the Societies’ Council for the Collective Management of Performers’ Rights (SCAPR) held sessional working group meetings in Stockholm (Sweden).
VOIS took part in the Rights and Administration Working Group, the Cooperation and Development Working Group and the Technical Working Group.
At the meeting of the Cooperation and Development Working Group VOIS suggested to hold a SCAPR seminar for CIS countries in Moscow. Other SCAPR members endorsed this idea.
VOIS is currently considering technical possibilities of implementation and adaptation of SCAPR International Performers Database. Full access to the necessary information will allow VOIS to carry out distribution of the remuneration collected for the right owners more effectively.
The meetings of the working groups were very fruitful. VOIS plans to participate in future SCAPR sessions.
