VOIS concluded a bilateral agreement with the Musicians’ Rights Organization Canada (MROC) – the Canadian collective rights management society. According to the agreement the performers of both countries will be protected equally on the contracting territories.
MROC was founded in 2009. The society collects, distributes and pays remuneration to performers and phonogram producers for public performance, transmission by air or cable of phonograms published for commercial purposes.
Cooperation of VOIS and Canadian colleagues will allow Russian performers receive remuneration for the public use of phonograms in the territory of Canada, and Canadian related right owners – in the territory of Russia.
