VOIS and Itsright (Italy) fled into partnership

VOIS concluded a bilateral agreement with the Italian collecting society on neighboring rights «Itsright». According to the bilateral agreement the performers and the producers of phonograms of both countries will be protected equally on the contracting territories.

Cooperation of VOIS and the Italian colleagues will allow Russian performers and record companies get remuneration for the public use of music phonograms on the territory of Italia, and Italian neighboring right owners – on the territory of Russia.

In 2012 the Italian Government liberalized the neighboring rights’ market, in compliance with European best practices. ITSRIGHT was the first company joining the Government’s list of organizations entitled to operate in the Italian neighboring rights’ market, according to the new legislation.

ITSRIGHT is also member of SCAPR (Societies ‘Council for the Collective Management of Performers’ Rights), a worldwide network representing over 50 performers’ collective management organizations from 40 different countries.
