A bilateral agreement on mutual representation of interests was signed between VOIS and GDA – the Portuguese society for the collective management of related rights. The agreement provides for the parties’ cooperation and exchange of catalogs of performers.
GDA collects, distributes and pays remuneration owed to actors and musicians for the use of phonograms created by them. The society represents the interests of more than 4,000 Portuguese performers; it is a member of SCAPR – the Societies’ Council for the Collective Management of Performers’ Rights.
VOIS’s cooperation with the colleagues from Portugal will allow to collect remuneration for the public performance and broadcasting and cable transmission of phonograms, published for commercial purposes, in favor of Russian performers in Portugal and, respectively, in favor of the Portuguese rightholders in Russia.
