2-5 May, 2012 Laurence Oxenbury – the representative of the British society PPL – visited VOIS office in Moscow.
During the official visit Laurence Oxenbury studied the work of VOIS: the structure of the organization, the activity of its departments, the automatic system of distribution of remuneration. He also studied users’ reports presented to VOIS.
The main aim of the visit was to discuss the question of concluding the agreement between PPL and VOIS. Laurence Oxenbury and Erik Valdes-Martines talked about the details of the future cooperation. Both parties are ready to sign a bilateral agreement which will allow Russian performers and record companies get remuneration on the territory of the UK, and British neighboring right owners – on the territory of Russia.
Background information
PPL is the British collecting society established more than 75 years ago. Today PPL represents interests of more than 45000 performers and 5750 record companies. The society has about 50 agreements with foreign organizations.
