If you are the owner of some intellectual property, then you should consider all the pros and cons, and then maybe decide to sell!
The famous American singer Bruce Springsteen recently sold the rights to all of his music to Sony Music Entertainment for a record $550 million. The artist himself says that he made such a decision, because in the company throughout the 50 years of cooperation he was treated with great respect. The singer also believes that in this way his legacy will be taken care of.
The deal was conditionally divided into two parts: one part of the transaction concerned the already released works of Springsteen, and the second – the rights to write songs. It is noteworthy that part of the funds for the acquisition of publishing rights was received from the private investment company Eldridge.
