Cellist, Member of the Supervisory Board of Russian Organization for Intellectual Property (VOIS) Alexander Knyazev took part in the concert marathon “WE ARE TOGETHER” organized by the TV channel “Russia” and the Bolshoi Theater.
The event was held in order to express gratitude to the doctors and medical staff of hospitals, volunteers, teachers, public transport drivers, pharmacy employees and all those who work during the coronavirus pandemic.
The concert included performances by Evgeny Mironov, Sergey Polunin, Svetlana Zakharova, Konstantin Khabensky, Yuri Bashmet and others.
Alexander Knyazev, together with pianist Ivan Bessonov, performed the famous ‘Swan’, a play by French composer Camille Saint-Saens from the ‘Carnival of Animals’ suite, created in February 1886.
Musicians from the Bolshoi Theater Symphony Orchestra connected through video conference and played each from their own home.
Also on the historical stage of the theater in front of the empty hall performed the actors Sergei Garmash, Konstantin Raikin, Julia Peresild, the pianist Nikolai Lugansky, the singer Tamara Gverdtsiteli, and Igor Moiseev ensemble soloist Oleg Chernasov.
