SCAPR General Assembly 2012

37th SCAPR General Assembly was held from 21st to 25th May, 2012 in Bled, Slovenia.
SCAPR – Societies Council for the Collective Management of Performers Rights – unites members from almost 50 countries. This year the main events of the General Assembly were the adoption of the new Statute of the organization and incorporation of the IPDA (International Performers Database Association) and the VRDB (Virtual Recording Database).
VOIS which took part in the General Assembly as an observer presented the annual report on the activities of VOIS in 2011 and reviewed the current Russian legislation in the sphere of intellectual property.
VOIS already has a number of agreements with the members of SCAPR. As a result of work VOIS has agreed to sign new bilateral agreements.
