On January 16, 2012 representatives of the Holland collecting society on neighboring rights – Natalie Loop (Director of the International Department) and Paul Smelt (Director of the Repartition Department) – visited VOIS.
The main aim of the official visit was the examination of the work of VOIS as the sole Russian state accredited organization on collective management of the performers’ and phonogram producers’ rights. SENA representatives studied the system of distributing and paying out the remuneration, the procedure of users’ reporting and other aspects of VOIS practical work.
On January, 17 Paul Smelt, Natalie Loop and Erik Valdes-Martines, the Deputy Director of VOIS, participated in a live radio broadcast of Nikita Nebylitsky and Dasha Gordeeva «Prime-time» on «Silver rain» radio station, 100,1 FM. They told the audience about the way they observe the performers’ and record companies’ rights for remuneration for the public use of music phonograms in the Netherlands.
SENA representatives visited the Russian editorial office of the world known Billboard magazine and studied the procedure of forming musical ratings published in Billboard. VOIS also provides data for these ratings based on the users’ reports.
As a result of the visit SENA and VOIS are ready to sign a bilateral agreement which will allow Russian performers and record companies get remuneration on the territory of the Netherland, and Holland neighboring rights owners – on the Russian territory.

For almost 20 years SENA has collected remuneration on behalf of performers and phonogram producers on the territory of the Netherlands. SENA represents interests of the world famous performers such as Phil Collins, Beatles, Rolling Stones, David Guetta, Christina Aguilera and many others.
