Focus on content: IPQUORUM 2021 brings together leaders of the creative economy in Skolkovo

The key event of the year in the development of creative industries and intellectual property – IPQuorum 2021 – will take place on April 26-27 in Technopark at Skolkovo Innovation Center in the format Tech for Content. The focus of the business program is new technologies for production, distribution, and monetization of content: from cinema to music and theater, from design, architecture to restaurant business and modern engineering.

Experts and market players will discuss creation of original technologies for creativity, protection of intellectual rights in digital and real worlds.

This year the forum will bring together 1,500 participants from 30 countries of the world. More than 60 sessions, discussions and master classes will take place over two days. The speakers are foreign and Russian experts in the field of digital technologies, economic transformation, national creative industries, and global IP market.

Andrey Krichevsky, Chairman of Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) Committee on Intellectual Property and Creative Industries, President of IPChain Association, believes that one of the challenges of the digital economy is the existing contradiction between local and global: “The digital content market will grow by almost $520 billion by 2024, and the average annual growth rate will make 15% worldwide. Technology has made the production and consumption of creative products cross-border. At the same time, protection of intellectual property remains territorial. Today, the interaction of national intellectual law and the global market for a creative product, whether it be within the framework of patent cooperation or cross-border electronic transactions with copyright objects, is the most important issue on the business agenda.”

The Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, Skolkovo Foundation, and IPChain Association will be the hosts of the Forum.

Representatives from Russia, the Netherlands, Brazil, Republic of Korea, India, France, Germany, Spain, Israel, UAE, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Georgia, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, Singapore, Poland, Japan, South Africa and other countries will take part in IPQuorum.

The co-organizers and partners of the Forum will be the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP), the Federation of Intellectual Property (FIP), the Confederation of Rightholders’ Societies of Europe and Asia (CRSEA), and “Digital IP” – the Scientific and Educational Center for Intellectual Property and the Digital Economy. The strategic partner of the Forum is the Gazprom-Media Holding.

The information partners of IPQuorum 2021 are TASS, Forbes, the “Rossiyskaya Gazeta” newspaper, the Union of Journalists of Russia, the InterMedia news agency, “ArtMoskovia”, the “Kultura” newspaper, the Eurasian Patent Organization.

In total, over 7 thousand people have taken part in foreign and Russian events under the international communication brand IPQuorum over the past three years. Nearly 600 experts from 39 countries acted as speakers at business programs, meetups, and round tables.
