VOIS and Armauthor (Armenia) signed a bilateral agreement concerning performers’ rights

VOIS concluded bilateral agreement concerning the rights of performers with the Armenian public organization on collective management of copyright and related rights Armauthor. According to the agreement performers of both countries will be protected equally within the contracting territories.

Cooperation of VOIS and the Armenian colleagues will allow Russian performers get remuneration for the use of music phonograms in the territory of Armenia, and Armenian related right owners – in the territory of Russia.

Armauthor was established in 2001 by Armenian rightholders in order to implement and protect their rights. Armauthor is a member of the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers (CISAC) and has agreements on mutual representation with more than 30 foreign copyright societies.
